What we collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and deliver our services.
Information you give us directly:
- — Name, email address, and phone number, when you submit the Noise Audit form, the Get a Sample form, or the contact form.
- — Business name, sector, and a description of your content or workflow needs, where provided.
- — Any files or sample images you upload for a review or sample request.
- — Information you share on a discovery call, over email, or via WhatsApp once a conversation begins.
Information collected automatically:
At present, the Site does not run analytics or advertising tracking. If we introduce tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or Meta Pixel in the future, this section will be updated first, and a cookie consent banner will appear on the Site giving you the choice to accept or decline non-essential cookies before any such tool is active. Until that banner appears, no tracking or advertising cookies are set.
Standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) may be generated by our hosting and infrastructure providers for security and reliability purposes, in the same way this happens for any website.
Why we use your data
- — To respond to a Noise Audit request, sample request, or general enquiry.
- — To deliver services you've engaged us for, and to communicate about an active project.
- — To send you information you've asked for, such as a proposal or a follow-up after a call.
- — To improve the Site and our services.
- — To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Our legal basis for processing (GDPR)
For individuals in the UK and European Union, we rely on the following legal bases under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR:
- — Consent — when you submit a form on the Site, you consent to us using that information to respond to you.
- — Legitimate interest — to operate, secure, and improve the Site, and to follow up on enquiries.
- — Contract — where processing is necessary to deliver a service you've engaged us for.
- — Legal obligation — where we're required to retain records for tax or regulatory reasons.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or European Union (GDPR):
You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request erasure of your data; restrict or object to certain processing; request a portable copy of your data; and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@muteaistudio.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If you are in India (Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023):
You have the right to: confirm whether we are processing your personal data; obtain a summary of the data we hold; request correction or erasure of your data; nominate another individual to exercise your rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity; and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, or to raise a grievance, email hello@muteaistudio.com.
Who we share data with
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the Site and deliver our services. Each processes data only on our instructions:
- — Supabase — database hosting for form submissions and lead records.
- — Resend — transactional email delivery (confirmation emails and internal notifications).
- — Calendly — scheduling for Noise Audit calls.
- — Cloudinary — image hosting for the Site's gallery (does not process personal data submitted via forms).
These providers may store data outside your home country, including in the US or EU. We do not use any provider not listed here to process personal data collected through this Site.
How long we keep your data
- — Enquiries that don't convert into a project: retained for 12 months, then deleted, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
- — Active client and project data: retained for the duration of the engagement plus 6 years, for standard accounting and legal record-keeping.
- — You can request deletion at any time; we'll comply unless required by law to retain specific records.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including access controls and encrypted storage via our infrastructure providers.
Children
The Site and our services are directed at businesses, not individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our tools or services change. The effective date at the top always reflects the latest version.
